I'm confused!! If I'm not in the right place for this question, please let me know!

In Excel: How do I set a column of cells to be all capitals?

I tried to use the Upper() function but I could not make it work. It works if you put it in a unused cell and reference the cell you are using. But that put the caps letter answer in a separate cell (where I don't want it) meaning I have to use two (2) cells!? Seems rather stupid and clumsy to me.

I am putting only 1 character in the cell. Is there a way to make a column all capitals?

I've tried AutoCorrect and checked the boxes but it doesn't seem to work either.

How good it would be to have a "LET" style function like "MULTIFORMULA" to apply formulas to different cells including the current cell (last formula)? I know many would prefer having separate formula assignment for different cells (quite logical). But using such function wrapped in parameterized Lambda function might be usefull. This kind of work can only be done by VBA macro. But I am not sure if it would introduce any issue...Thanks
