Past posts about EMS successes have gotten a lot of attention, and here are a couple more: Take a quick look how the National Institute for Insurance Against Accidents at Work (INAIL), a very forward-looking organization in Italy, is using the Enterprise Mobility Suite to enable it’s 3,000 lawyers, inspectors, and physicians to be more productive in court, at worksites, and with injury assignments via Microsoft’s cloud-based services managing devices and helping secure apps and data. INAIL has 220 local offices across Italy and approximately 3,000 mobile employees who all expect to access their documents securely anytime, anywhere. “The Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite helps protect data at the device level, the app level, and the file level. It’s the foundation for our journey to a more mobile and productive work environment ,” says Stafno Tomasini, INAIL’s Chief Information Officer. “We like that the suite works well with our on-premises infrastructure and tools, such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. We are using Intune as our mobile device manager. Because Intune connects with System Center Configuration Manager, our IT staff saves time by managing mobile devices, PCs, and servers in a single console .” You can read the entire overview here . Also, check out how the Nordic fitness chain SATS ELIXIA is using the Enterprise Mobility Suite’s Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) to deliver secure and personalized access to nutritional and personal training apps for their 7,500 employees on BYO devices, as well corporate-provided iPhones. The Enterprise Mobility Suite has brought SATS much closer to a completely cloud-based IT environment – a move that is enabling the company can run a faster, more efficient system that requires much less time to train new employees or open a new gym. “We will be able to walk in with the computers, connect them to the Internet, and be done,” says Arvid Johansson, SATS’s Chief Information Officer. “User identity, SaaS access management, mobile device management – all accessible with a few clicks on a web-based console . It will be good for the business to be so lean.” Johansson goes on to say that, “By early 2016, we will retire our System Center solution and use Intune to manage everything from PCs to mobile devices to smartphones. We are using the Enterprise Mobility Suite to migrate to the cloud at our own pace .” Read more about the work SATS ELIXIA has done here .
