Looking Back and Moving Forward As we look back at our enterprise mobility vision , which is to help organizations enable their users to be productive on the devices they love, while protecting the company , we also need to move forward to a better future. Last week we announced Windows 10 for Enterprises and Windows Server Technical Preview and key components of the Enterprise Mobility Suite were affected by these announcements. The core functionalities of Windows 10 were extended to enable mobile device management (MDM) capabilities built-in in order to embrace new mobile-first, cloud-first scenarios and bring MDM capabilities to traditional laptops and desktops. The changes are not restricted to Windows family; the enterprise management with System Center Configuration Manager and Intune were also enhanced. Our Machine Learning & Combined Data Sets will enable the Enterprise Mobility Suite the ability to learn the work access patterns of everyone using a service that authenticates against Azure Active Directory (AAD) in order to enhance the overall security your mobile environment. The future is exciting and we are moving together to a better cloud-first, mobile-first world. Beyond the BYOD While BYOD seems to be the most challenge aspect of enabling a mobile workforce, the mobility strategy that your company should embrace must address issues beyond the BYOD scenario. Enterprise Mobility Suite enables companies to securely embrace both types of devices: user-owned and company-owned devices . These two major types of devices can be subdivided in four categories as shown below: The BYOD scenario is usually the light blue box, where enterprises need to manage users’ devices while enabling them to bring the devices of their choice. There is a set of considerations that you should evaluate before choosing which option you will use. We recommend that you read the BYOD Design Considerations Guide to understand how to design your strategy before embracing user-owned devices. Deployment Scenarios There will be different scenarios to use Enterprise Mobility Suite to enable a mobile workforce; the solution for each scenario will vary according to the company’s requirements. We created a series of solutions that can help you to solve real business problems by providing designs and steps for the implementation based on common requirements for many organizations. They fully articulate preferred or best practice based solution designs to help you deploy your solutions faster and with more confidence.  The solutions below are leveraging one or more EMS component to resolve a business problem: We also created a Curation page that aggregates many Enterprise Mobility Suite resources to help you understand more about this suite, how to plan and deploy it. It is also very important to us to hear your feedback about our solutions . Did you like it? Is there any particular solution around mobility that you would like to see documented? Leave your comment in this post and we will follow up. Also, make sure to follow The Endpoint Zone with Brad Anderson , the first episode was released last month. In this first episode Brad talks about iOS 8, Airwatch and VMwares announcements, what we are doing with secure email and hear from one of our customers about how we are making their mobility dreams come true.
