Earlier this year we released a Beta Preview of Microsoft 365 learning pathways, to help you increase usage and adoption of Office 365 and other services in your organization.   Today we’re pleased to announce the general availability of this solution in November, 2019.  Microsoft 365 learning pathways (M365LP) is a customizable, on-demand training solution easily provisioned from the SharePoint Provisioning Service into your own Office 365 tenant.

M365LP provides customers with content streamed from Microsoft for key services such as Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, Planner and others.  Once installed this solution can be customized to your own company brand and service usage.  Custom playlists for your own business processes can be included and the entire experience is configured in SharePoint Online giving you maximum familiarity and flexibility.

Version 3.0 of the customer SharePoint webpart and site experience also includes an Administrators Success Site with step by step guidance for setup, configuration and adoption of the site across your organization.

You can gain access to these new features by installing version 3.0 of the M365LP web part. Updating the webpart will not overwrite your custom content and playlists. Instruction for updating the web part can be found here

Based on your feedback and our desire to empower end user training around the world we are also announcing our multi-lingual capability will be available in Q1 of CY20.  Nine languages will be supported as part of this release, including Chinese (Simplified), Dutch (Netherlands), French, German, Italian (Italy), Japanese (Japan), Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian (Russian), Spanish.

With over 4,000 installs during our beta period your feedback and enthusiasm has been exciting. We are happy to move to this next stage with the solution.   We have invested in further content delivery based on your feedback and will be adhering to a quarterly content update schedule communicated within our online documentation and here in our Driving Adoption blog.

Key Microsoft partners including Content Panda, Storyals, VisualSP, Planet Technologies, Sarah Haase, MVP and Vitalyst have participated in our Early Adopter program to prepare for their ability to install, support and customize the solution as a part of their adoption/change management offerings.  In addition these partners are preparing to offer value added content in custom content packs in the future.

We appreciate your support of our solution.  Get started with Microsoft 365 learning pathways today at https://aka.ms/M365LPDocs and please continue to provide your feedback at https://aka.ms/AdoptionFeedback

We are very enthusiastic about Learning Pathways, and are in the midst of helping a client integrate it with an existing "Modern Workplace" site on their intranet. I keep running across anomolies in the Learning Pathways content, and don't know how to report them. For example, in the Share and sync with SharePoint playlist, the page labeled "Create and share files in a library" actually contains a video on how to create a page. This video is posted elsewhere more appropriately.

What is the best way to provide this type of feedback?

Positive news. I come from a Learning and Development background and know that many organisations have teams of trainers, instructional designers and courseware developers creating this type of content. No need to really when this is available for them. It will save the organisation time, money and need to recruit people to create content around this.

@Karuana Gatimu This is brilliant news, I've had nothing but positive feedback thus far since we installed a couple of months ago - Apologies though, I'm unsure if we've got to manually update via the sharepoint provisioning service for the updates or is this an automatic process?

@Karuana Gatimu great news, we would like to use the multi-lingual capability (dutch) in Q1, can we start with the current version and switch to dutch when it is available?

Has anyone else noticed that although you can get a successful install, you cannot share externally, as the guest users receive an error when accessing the content pages:

The installed version for an employee works fine, but we are working closely on adoption with a partner organisation, and if sharing is available, and set up for External Sharing, surely it should work!

Microsoft

Some answers:

@ricl It is a manual update and if you can do a fresh install that is best but the update is fine.  Instructions are in our documentation.

@koerssie77 Yes you can make the switch after a webpart upgrade and other setting changes in SharePoint.  But you do not need to start over to access multi lingual capabilities.

@Kenni3958 Please report your issue in our main issues list at https://aka.ms/M365LPIssues  Thank you!  Yes external sharing should work.

Hi Karuana,

I'm existed for this! We have been wanting to provide training to our employees.  Quick question, I set up the app in our Microsoft Teams with the json file you mentioned in Ignite.  I gave the users access to the SharePoint site.  When the users clicks on Teams training, for example, nothing comes up.  If they go to another section in our Teams that brings up an Office 365 login screen and they login, then when they go back to the app and click the same training then it comes up.  Have you ran into that issue before?

Copper Contributor

What languages will Learning Pathway be available in? Do you have any more details on the exact date in Q1?

Copper Contributor

This is very exciting!

If/when this is installed are there reports that show who is accessing the tools and the amount of time they spent learning?

As an early adopter and official partner of Microsoft Learning Pathways, our company, VisualSP, is making available All of the Microsoft Learning Pathways content available for free through our VisualSP product. That means that if you have VisualSP installed (a free install), you would get all of Microsoft Learning Pathways content delivered to you in-context of your environment.

Here is a quick video on what it looks like once installed and activated:

and here is the link to the install page:

Hope this helps you and your users get the most benefit out of Office 365. Best wishes!

Hi Karuana,

is the German language pack still available? It was announced for January. How can I install that? Thanks, Evelyn

Copper Contributor

Any updates on Learning Pathways to be available in multiple languages? Which languages and when would they be available?

Brass Contributor

As many organisations, our company finally made the step towards the Cloud and O365.
I see however a great need for a platform as Learning Pathways. Our languages: Dutch and French.
In your stated time frame: I see Q1 of 2020.  May we still look forward to a deployment in April?
Best regards to the whole team, give them some home coffee and cake:  you're all doing a great job!

Copper Contributor

When will French version be available?

Copper Contributor

I found this item https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/customlearning/faq   Looks like MS has changed the roadmap.
Dutch is from release in Q1 to We will continue to evaluate new language options in the future.    Very disappointing.

Copper Contributor

We feel also very disappointing about we read at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/customlearning/faq. First the Dutch translations were planned in Q1, end of March. Now the other translations are also moved further on to Q2, but the Duch translation is disappeared in the cloud.

@Karuana Gatimu -

I watched your presentation at M365VM - thank you so much, I learned so much in less than an hour!

Can you please help me understand - is Learning Pathways a subscription based cost? I'm not finding anything about pricing.

I'm very interested in this solution for my organization, but need to present the idea for approval.

Thank you!

Anna

Anyone if multilingual is now available. Looking for French. Thanks!

Last week, I did an exhaustive presentation for an online conference where I talked about exactly what Microsoft 365 learning pathways is and what it is not and Everything you need to know about it.

Here is the video recording of my presentation on Everything you need to know about Microsoft 365 learning pathways.

This video presentation goes pretty deep into all areas of learning pathways. Hope it's helpful to you all.
