What's new in v1.3?

Installation code revamp

Graph API calls have been reworked and calls have been streamlined to minimize the overall number of API calls as well as having improved the code efficacy during the installation/first run experience. Also 404 errors during install have been fixed.

Logging and Exception Handling during First Run / Installation

We have implemented cleaner logging and exception handling during the first run experience. Troubleshooting via console logs should now be much cleaner and easier to pinpoint any potential issues.

Upgraded supporting application packages to recommended versions

The supporting application packages used in building the platform have been updated to their current recommended versions. These are library files required for the operation of the overall application and versions can be seen from the GitHub code repository.

RESOLVEDall components failing after 100 + users

A bug was identified that limited the overall platform to only display 100 Champions. After 101+ Champion was added, only the first 100 were shown throughout the platform and could interact with the platform. This has been corrected across the elements of the platform (homepage / digital badge / leaderboard / add champion / approve)

RESOLVED: Incorrect ranking displayed on Sidebar in leaderboard

In certain scenarios logic for leaderboard ranking would cause the ranking to display incorrectly, this has been addressed to show correct ranking based on point values.

Hello @Josh Leporati  - I'd like to express my gratitude to you and your team for taking the time to work through the 100+ champion issue. My team is just back from our Labor Day break and we'll be installing the upgrade today. However, I didn't want the opportunity to pass without acknowledging your work and efforts. Thank you, again!

@Josh Leporati, is it possible to link directly to the leaderboard? e.g. to display on a web page or SharePoint page.

@Geoff Williams

Yes, you can add the platform directly to a SharePoint page as a webpart. As the platform is enabled in your SharePoint environment, it will be available for you to add as a webpart to your SharePoint pages. If you have ever used the Microsoft Learning Platform, this mimicks that in the sense that you can add it to several SharePoint pages.

Thanks @Scarlett725 , but it was a link to the specific league table page that I was looking for, rather than a link to the platform. The Champion Management web part doesn't seem to be configurable in the way that the Learning Pathways one is, for example.
