When will chromium edge stable version be released?

Brass Contributor

I've been using beta version for a while, and there is a leaked stable version hanging on the internet, I also tried that too and see no particular differences with beta version and they have same version number.

So when will the final stable version be released?

Hi there,
no Official information is available at this point, all speculations. though the Dev team probably have an internal and private date for themselves.
the only thing they mentioned so far in one of the topics is that: the new Edge browser will "soon" become feature rich and when it does, it will be released to public as stable.

I would give it few months from now:
1. sync options are not enabled, extensions, history which are 2 big things compared to favorites and passwords that were simpler, and also majority of open tabs sync (currently on controlled roll out)
2. a long list of very important features in here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Discussions/Top-feedback-summary-for-October-1/td-p/886926
every month they can only address 4 or 5 of them. and that list is no where near complete, there are lots of other requests and bugs that are not covered by that list.

thanks for the reply.
You're welcome!

Hi @rtransformation;

Save the date: the first expected GA for Edge Chromium is January 15, 2020, more info at:

Cheers ;)

At which date will it be integrated into the OS?
is it true that as soon as the GA is released, it will be replaced inside Windows 10 too?
