Trying to figure out the logic behind Immersive reader mode

MVP

The Immersive reader mode button appears on this page:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/samples/changing-computer-state?view=powershel...

but it doesn't appear on this page:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies

both websites are Microsoft docs, articles, perfectly made for Immersive reader mode.

I'm using Edge insider Version 80.0.341.0 Canary 64-bit

My suggestion: make it a fixed button so it will be there for all web pages.

People, for an accurate understanding, this is not peculiar to any Edge Chromium Channels.  Not all pages have or will have Reading View, even, with Edge. Nor is it the fault of the browser or Reading View.  And most of this area (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies) of Microsoft site pages do not have it.  The MS Tech Forums where I write are in the same bunch & none of them have Reading View... it does not relate to any specific Edge Chromium Channels  nor to the browser, at all nor to Reading View.  One can be in Edge & go to various articles, say from MSN Home page... most will have Reading View & some will not.  Depends on the site/page, nothing else; not all have it/offer it.

NB: Immersive Reader IS Reading View.  It is not anything new nor something debuting in Edge C.  It is (the) Reading view (already) of Edge. Seems somebody has decided to call it a new term. No matter what you call it, RV is not, ever, available in all sites/pages & this is not new, either.  And one will find it true in Edge HTML & Edge Chromium.

Cheers,
Drew

Wrong.

Immersive reader is bugged. obviously it can't correctly tell which pages should have the button and which ones shouldn't so it shouldn't be Edge's choice, that button needs to be there at all times so user can device when to use it.

Ooops , should stick to the rule.  Oh well, back on "Ignore", now.

I don't care :)

As we can see here, without any flags, there are, still, a few tools absent  in Edge C which is on the top, followed, below by Edge.  Edge C does not, yet, have the full compliment of tools that, actually, exist.

Not really.

Turn on this flag.

This flag has been in Edge for Months.
