Greetings, Insiders! We have just a couple updates this week thanks to the late update last week.
First up, we are considering Mouse cursor disappears sometimes as Addressed. We’ve implemented several fixes for this and have seen reports drop since then. That being said, if your mouse cursor disappears outside of when you are watching a video or using a touchpad, please do submit feedback through the browser so that the team can investigate again. Thanks so much to everyone who submitted feedback around this; it truly does help us solve these issues.
This week, we’ve decided to add a new Status – Alternative Planned. This is to let the community know that while we aren’t addressing the feedback directly, we have something else in the works that we consider a replacement for the item. This way we can be clear about our plans around your feedback.

@MissyQ , Again, PLEASE include an uninstall feature or make it an optional install. I enjoy my preferred browser and do not want to use your search engine. It is being forced on us, which is not appropriate considering the amount of money we paid to have Windows 10 to begin with.
Can we also get the updates for features like Vertical Tabs, Smart Copy, etc. which have not came from feedback and introduced by Microsoft in the Top Feedback Summary in order to know when can we expect this feature.
And Alternative Planned would be very useful, meaning it might not exactly address what have been asked but there is another way to achieve it (and it might be better).
Regarding to PDF features in this list (the one from Legacy Microsoft Edge), I would recommend put it in higher priority, students spending a lot of time on reading and learning PDF files and features like table of content, add text note, ... is very essentials for them. We hope, to be in a level that everyone set Microsoft Edge as their default PDF reader too.
Yesterday, the new Edge automatically (without my permission) replaced my original Win10Pro Edge, and it removed my pinnable Favorites pane which I used frequently. The Favorites Bar is too awkward to use for series browsing. My admin local account does not allow the ‘uninstall’ action on New Edge. When will New Edge allow a pinnable Favorites pane, or how can I get the original Edge back? Regards, Bruce B. (BruceGeek)
I've been using the Edge Dev Channel for many months (Year?). Only in the past week or so have I had to switch over to Chrome for certain pages. Yesterday it was the page for ordering a pizza.
I have both Chrome and (new)Edge browsers. I noticed this a few weeks ago where all of my browser bookmarks were gone in the chrome browser ( could not be recovered) and I couldn't figure out why. It turns out every time I opened the Edge browser all of my bookmarks from chrome disappeared.
I tried to play around with a few ideas with the syncing feature by turning both off, one off, and then the other respectively. It all leaded to Chrome trying to gather the info from Edge (when edge sync was off) but not the other way around..
