Note: This is no longer the most recent top feedback summary. You can always find the latest at https://aka.ms/MSEdgeTopFeedback.
Greetings, Insiders! This week we roll out MS Edge 82 to our Dev channel. We have a couple new items added this week, as well as a couple we are considering Addressed. Read further for the details.
Let’s check out the new items! First up, Some users are unable to access any web page has been added under Planned. There are some users with certain 3rd party software (eg. Symantec Endpoint Protection) who are unable to access any web page in Microsoft Edge. Users running into this may get an Error code: STATUS_INVALID_HASH_IMAGE or an error that looks like this:
Symantec has acknowledged this, and there’s a few solutions they posted on their support page. Give those a shot, but if these don’t resolve the issue for you, please reach out!
Second, Highlighter tool for PDF files has been added under Planned. We know that a lot of our users are excited about this feature, and we look forward to bringing you more updates around this as they come.
Now, let’s turn our eyes to two items we are considered Addressed: Need for better handling of links when there is more than one profile and Touchpad two finger scrolling is sometimes triggering a right click instead. Avi posted a thread last week about the changes we made to better handle links when users have multiple profiles in their browser. You can read more about how to set a default profile for opening links here. A few weeks ago, Clark posted about changes we made to our browser to help with touchpad two-finger scrolling issues. We now believe that all issues related to this are mitigated and feel comfortable with considering this addressed.
We are still working heavily on features around multiple profiles in general, so please submit feedback if you feel there’s changes that should be made still. If you are still noticing issues while using two-finger scrolling on your touchpad, we also want to know! As always, we are continuously evaluating user feedback to ensure the changes we make are the right ones.
Here’s this week’s updated list:

@MissyQ When opening links from an email in Outlook 2019 or the Windows 10 Mail app, I would like the links to be opened with the profile at which I received that email.

I lost 4 months of bookmarks when I clicked on "sync" (I end up with my 4 month old bookmarks). (I guess the current one were suppose to be backup in the appdata bookmarks.bak, but did not).
Is there a way to get back my bookmarks?
(Morality: I should not have trust you when you said that the issue was solved. I won't sync anything anymore on Microsoft)

pdf and reading view context menu should be like this as in the old browser. Old edge's context menu was more modern and cool looking than the new edge. I don't know why're you not replicating that.

@user0719 We are still working on favorite sync right now and have it listed here because we have seen a few users like yourself continuing to run into issues. Do you still have your favorites listed in the original browser you were syncing from? Were those favorites duplicates already listed in your channel of choice? What version of Edge are you on? These will help figure out what might be happening here.
@yoSachin Thanks for the feedback! PDF functionality is still something we are improving, so you'll see updates around that here when we have them. Be sure to submit this through the browser, if you haven't already. :)

Regarding to "Highlighter tool for PDF files" please make sure to provide multiple highlight colors and not only yellow. This feature is very important. It also would be nice if there is highlight mode for Reading mode too.
There are other colors
you can combine them to create even more colors. (e.g use Pink and Blue to create Purple)
