Hey everyone, welcome to the weekly top feedback summary. We actually have no news to report this week. The list below is unchanged from last week.
We’re not taking a break however . . . progress continues on our planned items. We will begin testing a fix for the favorites sync issue very soon. We are also actively working on discussion posts for a number of topics currently in “Under Review” status below.
Thanks for all your great feedback and for taking this journey with us. Check back next week for the latest.

Hello
Possible to correct/add these points ?
1 - Re add option to disable the immersive reader in edge://flags/
2 - Since several versions of Canary, with each opening of the browser, it is first the about:blank url before having the right url (it slows down navigation)
The problem does not appear if Edge is already open (and the new page opens in a new tab)
3 - Always display bugs in text frames or clickable buttons of some sites (not present with other chromium browser)
Thanks for your great work

for #2, Fully uninstall your Edge and try reinstalling it again. there must be something wrong on your end

Hi
Already tested with a "fresh" installation of Windows (other reason) and Edge, same problem
The problem has appeared since a few versions of Edge Canary

No, with these settings.
But I have the same problem with a shortcut on the desktop for example
No matter how I open Edge, if the browser is closed, I have this problem
No worries if the browser is already open

No, only this one
I still have it with the shortcut outlook.com for example
There, it's okay, it's pretty fast anyway
But it didn't do it before

Yes that's it, if Edge is closed, whatever website I want to open, it's first about:blank before arriving on the requested web page
If Edge is already open, and I want to open another web page (in a new tab) the web page opens directly

This problem appeared from a version of Canary (I don't remember which one)
I tested by disabling AV, Ublock, same problem
And I have this problem on 2 PCs (Windows 10 1909)
I would have to get an old version of Canary to test (one with which I didn't have this problem)
Dec 14 2019 02:24 PM
I tested with an old version (79.0.309.30)
And no problem, no about:blank
The problem comes only from new versions of Edge
If this problem could be resolved
Thanks

The version of javascript is different between 79.0.309 and 81.0.363
But I don't think it comes from there

Always the problems and "bugs" with the latest version of Canary (81.0.366)
I do not know if the MS staff saw these requests and if they intend to resolve them or not

Canary in Microsoft's definition is not daily (every 24hrs) updates.
Firefox nightly and Chrome canary both always release at least 1 update in every 24 hours.
but Microsoft usually releases update for canary channel every 3 days and for Dev every 7 days.
whenever there is a holiday or weekends, we don't get any builds. but this is NOT the case with Firefox and Google chrome canary. they don't care if it's holiday or weekend, they are still committed to release the daily updates. I've seen it and experienced it in the past couple of months.
Canary is intended for web developers or enthusiasts to try new features or for the browser developers to fix very super severe bugs. these little small tiny issues are supposed to be fixed in other channels, because Canary is all about quick updates and fast feature roll out, the rest should be handled and polished by other channels that take more time to release. for example Dev channel gives Edge developers 7 weeks to receive telemetry data, feedbacks from users and enough time to evaluate them and release subsequent patches.
Beta channel takes 6 weeks approx which puts the browser code under microscope to further find and fix any possible bugs before it goes to the stable channel.
even during the stable channel, updates are still released sometimes.
