Too Many Redirects?

Copper Contributor

I am using the Edge Insider Beta and on one site I get an error: "www.docuhost-net.com redirected you too many times." I have used the site before and have never seen this message. Is it an Edge error message and if so, what does it mean?

Thanks

Hi,

it's neither you nor Edge insider,

the servers of the website you mentioned are having problems or are temporary down for maintenance.

Apparently that is not it. I just logged on with IE and it worked correctly but when I tried it again with the Beta, it gave the error message: "www.docuhost-net.com redirected you too many times." So apparently this is a Edge Insider Beta error message and I need to know what it means.

Thanks

Look, your internet explorer is probably loading some cached content or something else.

what I'm talking about is Live and the current status of that website. it's not what I'm saying, every down detector website confirm it's down.

try it yourself:

Thanks for your help. In spite of what those two sites say, the server is not down. I suspect it is not configured to allow direct access because it serves statements for a credit union I belong to. If I use the url: https://www.docuhost-net.com/docuhost/TexansCU/ShowLV2Document.asp, I get a timed out message. There is a version of this url with more parameters at the end that will show me my September statement in IE if I am logged into the credit union site with IE. The support staff for the site have told me they do not support the production Edge so I have not even asked them about the Beta but I was hoping it would work since they do support Chrome. (Production Edge fails with a site not reachable message.)

All of this convinces me that the error message is from the Beta and brings me back to asking what the "too many redirects" error message from Beta means? Doe anybody know?

Thanks

You're welcome!

they told you they don't support the new Edge?

well here is the same message on Edge classic which is more than 5 years old

And the good old Internet Explorer

So, this proves 2 things:

  1. Either you're not supposed to interact with that website from that URL you provided "http://www.docuhost-net.com/ "
  2. Or, that support guy has no idea what he is talking about.
