The web page is saved as an error in the file suffix.

When saving to mhtml format, only the first save is the correct suffix, and subsequent save file suffix is wrong (becomes incorrect html format).

Hi there, you are welcome to the Microsoft Edge Insider Community Hub!

Thanks for reporting it here. I would recommend you to send feedback about this bug through the in-app feedback tool in Microsoft Edge (Alt+Shift+I) with the diagnostics attached in order to help the Microsoft Edge dev team to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

@TheShaunSawThanks for your response.The bug has been fed back a long time ago, but the situation has not improved, the bug is easy to reproduce and only needs to save the page as mhtml format more than twice. Edge Dev 86.0.594.1 and Edge 84.0.522.52 both have this bug.

@AE_BEN Thanks for reaching out and letting us know! I was able to find an open internal bug for this, so I reached out to the team for more information.
