The concept is great but I foresee this one being a PR disaster waiting to happen:
- Why OUTLOOK WEB link???? This exacerbates the inconsistent user experience in Windows 11 - sometimes a link in an app will open outlook web, sometimes the mail app or who knows maybe the outlook app. Serious this is not good. Several reviewers have pointed that out already and it is also referred in the insider feedback.
- Same thing for games - why is this different than every other game link in Windows 11. No consistency with xbox gaming.
- Office same thing - at the end of the day it doesn't matter if it is web or not per se, but the experience is SO inconsistent. Some of the office links open the actual app, and now these ones only do the web app.
The concepts in the sidebar are great but this stuff needs to relate to the rest of Windows 11.
Honestly the only thing that makes sense to me is the "Discover" button - and that is actually really cool. But this doesn't justify the whole sidebar.
