Support apps like Authy from the Chrome Web Store

Chromium Edge supports Extension from chrome webstore, but doesn't support Themes and Apps from it. One such app is Authy , check this out, try to install other apps.

Yes apps are not supported, this might need some cooperation from Google's side as well since apps are only on their platform.

Well, They should do something about it , as those apps are really useful and essentials to go for some.

Microsoft should add a section to their new Edge extension store for apps so developers can put their apps on their store too.

That would be great, but there is no such plannng of adding app support to edge till now as by edge developer team. Hope they respond to this thread.

Authy has a desktop version though for Windows 10.

Yes it has and it's too slow compared to chrome app
