Hello

I wanted to test the stable version, but I have a message that my Windows 1909 is not up to date.

Without knowing if this is the case or not, it is not possible to ignore it, and install this version anyway ?

No problem installing beta, dev and Canary versions

Thanks

Anyone know (dev ?) which file, registry key or whatever, the installer "queries" to find out if Windows is up to date ?

Thanks

@tistou why not update your Windows

My Windows is up to date (just that WU is disabled) ;)

Services disabled

So enable them

I'm trying to figure out how to do that with WU disabled
Otherwise of course, I will activate the services and I will not get bored :xd:

Lots of programs and services depend on Windows update service, when you disable it you can't expect other programs to work properly, that's normal in Windows 10.
plus it's not good to disable it from the services, you can postpone updates or pause them instead.

Everything works fine except this Edge installation :)
I will see what "blocks" this installation with WU disabled (with a log file created during installation)

When (and if) Edge is integrated into ISO, there will no longer be this problem

Again Windows update service is not recommended, so whatever problem it causes is normal and expected.
Microsoft implemented 2 features in Windows 10. pause and postpone, use them instead.
