SSO via Microsoft Account if Logged in to Windows with that account

I'm logged in to Windows 10 using my microsoft.com account (not a local account). I would expect that if I go to outlook web that Edge will be able to automatically log me in based on the Windows credentials, but it still prompted me to log in. Is there a way to enable this?

it works that way for me, but in addition to Windows, I'm also logged in with the same account to Edge. are you logged into Edge too ?

Yes I am, with sync enabled.
