Search in Address Bar

Silver Contributor

Once again I cannot find the OP to which this follows.

It was in regard to using the address bar to ask something or do math or conversions, et al.  Someone had made the point that results using Edge HTML are much different & much better than, Edge C.  And there is a reason... One is more capable. One has & uses more advanced tech (than Chromium).  Ergo, Edge C doesn't give the same or as good results because of this. However, I have heard there IS effort afoot to bring the advanced tech to Edge C and the higher, more sophisticated level of ability.  This feature in Edge is another of its assets, its shining stars, well-liked & well-used by many!

Cross your fingers & toes that it is accomplished.

Cheers,
Drew

Yes it was about doing calculations in the address bar like Google chrome does.
the flag I think is called

Query in Omnibox
Only display query terms in the omnibox when viewing a search results page. – Mac, Windows
#enable-query-in-omnibox

which is bugged just like this flag that doesn't work

Omnibox rich entity suggestions
Display entity suggestions using images and an enhanced layout; showing more context and descriptive text about the entity. – Mac, Windows

#omnibox-rich-entity-suggestions
I don't think these flags works...
