When I play videos in full screen, the screen brightness dims. This is very annoying as I want to see more vivid colors when watching videos. When I hit volume or screen brightness buttons, it goes back to normal, but then dims immediately afterward.

Which Edge insider browser is this happening on for you, and is this a recent issue?
Thanks,
Frank.

Canary. Yes, its a recent issue, and I think its meant to save battery, but this is the wrong way to do it.

Solution
I will play around with some flags in Edge Canary, see if there is a workaround for you.
Thanks,
Frank.

@cjc2112 This issue is not resolved. Version 101.0.1210.39 & several versions earlier exhibit the exact same behavior:
1. Leave Win 11 pluged in
2. Play any video in Edge not full screen & the display does not dim
3. Make the video full screen & watch your display brightness: It will dim.
1. Unplug Win 11
2. Play any video in Edge not full screen & the display does not dim
3. Make the video full screen & it does not dim
Through my eyes, no web browser should have that level of OS control to adjust my disply settings. I don't know if this is "just a forum" or if it actually reaches the correct folks @MS.

@cjc2112 Mine does the same thing. Windows 10 with edge browser. Anytime it's plugged in and I watch a video in fullscreen, it dims considerably. Still haven't found a solution either.
