Not Responding

Microsoft Edge about 75% of the time is very slow and states (not responding).  How do I fix this?

What's your operating system and MS Edge version? To check the version number enter edge://settings/help in the address bar.

It has been doing this almost from the beginning that I switched to MS Edge.
