It's been like this for at least 4 Canary updates in a row and not fixed yet,
the New Tab Page looks like this and the News Feed section is bugged. the thing is it happened automatically on its own. I've seen other members talking about the same Exact problem.

P.S it has nothing to do with the NTP content settings on the gear.
also when i click on the personalize and try to reset the settings back to their defaults it shows this error:
