Microsoft Edge for Linux fails to apply "Dark" Overall appearance setting on startup

I use Microsoft Edge for Linux, Version 115.0.1901.188 (Official build) (64-bit). My operating system release is Xubuntu 23.04 (Lunar Lobster), and my desktop is Xfce 4.18.

I am on this Web page: edge://settings/appearance. I have selected the "Dark" overall appearance.

Every time I launch Microsoft Edge for Linux, it activates the "Light" overall appearance, but the settings page still displays "Dark". To fix it, I must change the overall appearance to "Light", and then back to "Dark." I must do this every time I launch Edge.

This screenshot clearly demonstrates the bug. The "Dark" overall appearance is selected, but the "Light" overall appearance is active.

Same issue with me, also using Xubuntu but version 22.04 LTS (jammy). Been trying a lot of fixes around the web but no luck.. GTK theme also doesn't detect im using all dark mode, it only changes the browsers navigation bar..
