i switched to Flathub. A Microsoft product should always run sandboxed ;)
Well... I will not switch my preferred distro to whatever Microsoft wants.
We have thousands of workstations on Linux and Windows and Edge was a good idea to sync whatever office 365 means. But if Microsoft doesn't solve this quickly we can easily get rid of Edge everywhere. Simple as that.
Switching to Flathub is not a solution, because of the security policy we have and also because of the memory usage. I'm pretty sure it consume lot more memory than the native browser.

@DarkMac Switching to the unofficial flathub version was unfortunately the only way I got it working on Fedora.

true, it's not the solution, just a workaround. But i prefer Silverblue, so Flatpak is the way. i think, this is a very robust and secure solution, more secure than running Edge on a "normal" Distro. ;)

@David665 Don't get me wrong... not anyone is using Silverblue and we are talking about a native browser on a operating system. I know for sure there are lot of workarounds... mine was resetting the browser to default and not enabling sync anymore. It works...

But what I don't get is the lack of reactions from Microsoft team. I simply don't understand why there is no reaction ... or maybe I missed something??

there is nothing left to say... Good luck.

So if I'm not using it, it means ... what? Not sure what your remark should be all about...
@DarkMac @David665 I had been using Edge on Fedora since the beginning. I've even got a few private conversations with internal M$ people on this subject. All I can say publicly is "I'm using Chrome."
Just another data point - same crash on Fedora 37, but only with a 'work' account. Normal personal Microsoft Account doesn't have the issue (at least not for me.)
