How does the browser manage the size of Cached images and files?
Will the space used by the cache grow indefinitely as I use the browser?
At the moment, if I'm right, there are two options for clearing the cache: a) go to settings and manually clear cache b) set the browser to clear the cache automatically every time it is closed
Would it be possible to have a third option for the user to set a maximum cache size, and the browser then clears the cache when it reaches that maximum size? For example, user X sets the maximum cache size to 50MB and user Y sets the maximum size to 2GB. When the browser cache of user X reaches 50MB the browser will automatically clear the cache. Similarly, the other browser will clear the cache when it reaches 2GB.
I don't know if I'm talking nonsense or if it's a good idea.
What do you think about how the browser manages the image cache and if you think there are better ways?
