Some extensions want to run in the background, usually VPN extensions do that, Edge generates this notifications when that happens
but there is No way to control which extension runs in background and which extension doesn't. there is only this option in here: edge://settings/system
and it blocks all extensions together.
so I'm suggesting to have more granular control over this. I need to allow some extensions to keep running in the background even when Edge is closed and the rest don't have this permission.
please add an option in each extension page in edge://extensions/
something like a checkbox, so that we can control which extension gets to run in background and which one doesn't. Thanks
(sending this from feedback button on Edge too). thoughts?

@HotCakeX Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'll loop in our Extensions team and let you know if they have any insights. And thanks for submitting feedback! :)
