Is there a way to pretest the Edge Update that will deactivate Internet Explorer?

Hello everyone,

is there a way to pretest the edge update that will deactivate Internet Explorer? 

Or is there a detailed insight what will happen exactly, as IE Engine is still needed for compatibility mode in Edge.
