HDR Streaming support?

Copper Contributor

Hi,

Is there any chance, HDR Streaming support will be ever added?

It was working fine in the non-chromium Edge, however, once it is updated it is no longer working, same applies for Firefox and Chrome. I believe it might something to do with the UWP app, but then again, having such a feature and not able to use it is very bad.

You might think not all people do watch HDR content, but it's not true, Netflix and many other provider, like YouTube and such can handle HDR, but once we are on the new Chromium which I very like, but the lack of HDR Streaming drives me crazy.

Please add this or somehow fix.

Hi,
HDR support is present. what are your hardware specs? Monitor, GPU, OS.

Well with that info, it looks like "Stream HDR video" only applies to UWP apps, like native Netflix app, or legacy Edge.
the second line it says play HDR games and apps. the apps part is kind of vague.

"apps" might mean Win32 programs, like Google chrome, Firefox and now the new Edge.
