Go back bug (Canary .389)

Bronze Contributor

Hello

Small bug with the "go back" (with the arrow on the browser, the mouse button, or from the history list with the right click on the arrow)

There is a web page that jumps

Thanks

Try again on new update Version 81.0.387.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)

I tried on another forum and couldn't reproduce it. if it's still happening for you, give me the link to that specific forum to test

@HotCakeX

Same with 387

The forum is https://forum.hardware.fr/
You have to navigate in the forum, on 1 or 2 topics, then try to go back

No problem with this forum

@tistou I'm on Dev but I was curious. I went to the same topic you were trying to go to, and the URL looks completely different from your GIF. Did you submit a form or something that's redirecting you back to the topic/subject list for some reason?

Yup, it's happening in that forum to me as well

@tistou Thanks for letting us know. To confirm, have you tried it on other versions of Edge? And does it happen with any other sites, or just this particular one?

I have not tried with other browsers, I will test this evening
I have not noticed this problem on other forums, but I rarely use this function

I tested on Chrome Canary and no problem

Only with Edge Canary

@Deleted

I'm canary and it sometimes happens to me in Microsoft site too.

@TrueGame and @tistou: Thanks for the follow-up. Are either of you using ad-blocker extensions, by chance? And if so, which?

Tested without Ublock Origin and I have the same problem ;)

@tistou Thanks for confirming. It doesn't seem related to the known bug I was thinking of, then. I'll loop in the devs and let you know if they have thoughts/questions.

You're welcome ;)

Indeed all those who use Edge Chromium on this forum (among others) have this problem

@tistou Our devs looked into this, and it should be fixed in version 81.0.402.0!
