Folder Swipe up or Tap to Launch First App

I've only had the launcher for a few days and this is by far my favorite feature of the whole interface! This morning when I woke up, it quit working.

Folder Icon Settings, swipe up function set to "Open first Item in Folder". Swipe up does nothing.
Conversely, if I choose the top option to "Swipe up to Open," that changes 2nd line to "Tap to open first Item in folder."

The result is swipe opens folder but tapping does nothing.

I have backed up and then restored sans my settings. No help.

Worked at bedtime, wit working this morning.

a little update, resetting to the default settings didn't work either. I don't know if there was a minor update overnight or what?
