(Feature Request) Snap and Flatpak Possibility for Microsoft Edge

Hi,

I know Microsoft Edge for linux is still unfinished. But, I want to ask: Is there any possibility for release Microsoft Edge in snap and flatpak package?

you can definitely request it using the feedback button on Edge, the more people request it, higher chance it will have.
press Edge (...) menu => help and feedback => send feedback

@dtantono115  At present Microsoft officially supports only Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE distros.  Edge-Linux is not available for Arch-based distros or independents like Solus and Intel's Clear Linux.  That follows Microsoft's pattern with WSL, and it is anybody's guess whether Microsoft intends to expand Edge-Linux support beyond the Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE corporate/enterprise base.

 

A Microsoft team member is reported to have said in a December podcast that support will be extended to additional distros after Stable is released, but Microsoft has given no timetable.  Many of us are hoping that Microsoft will issue a Snap or Flatpak version, but no one outside Microsoft has any reliable information about when or whether that will happen.

 

The best we can do is to keep requesting ...
