Edge Version 80.0.361.62 - displays 3 times it crashes.

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I am new to this, so please be patient with me.

I am using Lenovo W520 with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and NVIDIA Quadro 1000M Display adapters. Never had a problem with Edge, but with Version 80.0.361.62, the browser/windows displays 3 times that it crashed, but it did not.

The event viewer shows:

  1. Fault bucket , type 0
    Event Name: crashpad_exp
    Response: Not available
    Cab Id: 0
  2. Problem signature:
    P1: msedge.exe
    P2: 80.0.361.62
    P3: nvwgf2umx.dll
    P4: 21.21.13.7691
    P5: 2752512
    P6: gpu-process
    P7: 0xc0000005
    P8: 0
    P9:
    P10:

If I disable one of the adapters, Edge is not showing the errors. How can I use both without the annoying error displays at browser start-up or new page/tab.

Hi,
What is your operation system and its version?
can you post a screenshot of the error that Edge is showing you?

@hundog Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to our community!

I chatted with one of our devs about this, and here're their thoughts: "If you look down at P6, it tells you that it was the GPU process that crashed, which wouldn't be visible to you, or would only look like a quick flash of the webpage/UI.  Usually this can be fixed by updating your graphics drivers if they're out of date."

Hopefully that helps! If not, please submit feedback through the browser, so they can take a closer look at the diagnostics.
