Edge Chromium cannot open a SharePoint hyperlink .XLSM

Hi,

Recently updated my edge browser and noticed I can no longer open SharePoint links 
for example 
"file://onpremise/1/2/xxx.xlsm" 

Would anyone know how to get around this.

Hi,
you're trying to open Excel file in Excel online or installed Excel program?
which Edge did you update from? Edge legacy or a previous version of new Edge? and which version are you using now?

@HotCakeX Hi,

trying to open via Excel Online (which is setup by default. all other file extensions seem to work such as .pdf, .xls, xlsx)
upgraded from Edge legacy to 86.0.622.63.
only an issue with .XLSM
