Microsoft Edge Canary version 117.0.1963.0 When you create a new tab, two new tabs open. As you click on the + sign on the top of the software, it will create two new tab. More information is included in the images below.

it is fixed in Version 117.0.1966.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit). At least for today!
