Hello everyone,
I´m struggling with the download/ open setting within EDGE (81.0.416.68)
a customer tried to download a RDP file from his sharepoint
(file://company.local/dfs/Sharepoint_Links/compwin%20(Work%20Resources).rdp) and gets the message: "about:blank#blocked" which made me pretty sure there must be something like blocked content or safe locations.
I´ve tried to reproduce that within my computer and our policies, which i couldn´t.
Instead i ran into the problem (at least for me it is) that the browser doesnt ask me weather I wanted to save or download the content and opened it in the browser itself.
That doesnt make any sense for the RDP file which i wanted to download and run rather than see the text version of it (
screen mode id:i:2 use multimon:i:0 desktopwidth:i:1920 desktopheight:i:1080 session bpp:i:32 winposstr:s:0,3,0,0,800,600
...)
I´ve created the key ExternalProtocolDialogShowAlwaysOpenCheckbox and set the setting to ask where to safe the downloaded files.
I also tried different locations (local, dfs,..)
Maybe it´s just monday and i cannot see what is obvious. Has anyone an idea?
