@josh_bodner wrote:@HotCakeX Kids mode is still missing some functionality before we're ready to talk about it, but as you can see we have started the rollout! Once we make the official announcement, see if the behavior you mention is still the same. I suspect it will be since those are Windows-level shortcuts that I don't believe we have the power to overpower, but you never know!
I just wanted to give an early feedback, because this is very fundamental, I mean you can't restrict a kid with Windows Pin/Password and then tell them not to press Windows button on the keyboard, it just won't work, it's a very simple and obvious thing that can't be prevented.
so I hope before this feature is finalized, you apply this change.
and I mean Edge and Windows are teams inside the same company, there needs to be coordination, no need to overpower anyone, just make a unified feature that works for the end user, if there needs to be coordination between teams, then do it please, I'm sure the goal of all the employees is to make a good product that is useful, thank you :)

@Yoneff The flag is "Force Color Profile", but it expired in Edge 89, so it's no longer available in Canary and Dev.

Serious performance drop after activating Magnifier in Windows 10: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1079362
This bug affects your new Edge too!!!

@Jerry Bumgarner also, for anybody who's experiencing Edge being all-white/hanging at launch, we need your help to get some more data about this. If you're able to to eventually get Edge into a working state after seeing it be all white, please go to edge://gpu and send me the logs on that page. If you're not even able to get Edge into a working state, we'd love to have dumps of both the main browser and GPU process. To figure out which is which, go to the Details tab of Windows Task Manager, right-click the column headers, go to Select Columns, check the box for "Command Line", then sort the processes by name. Once you get to all the msedge.exe processes, the GPU process is the one with --type=gpu-process in its command line, and the main browser process is one that doesn't have any --type string (other types you'll see include crashpad-handler, utility, and renderer)

@josh_bodner Edge eventually comes into a working state after @8 or 10 seconds. If I leave Edge open and try to launch again, it works fine.

@josh_bodner Hey,
In this version, some portuguese websites like ctt.pt, meo.pt, moche.pt, sapo.pt and mail.sapo.pt gives me the NET::ERR_CERT_REVOKED error. I've tested other browsers, and it works in Edge Stable as well. When checking the cert, the dates are ok.
I've also reinstalled Edge Dev.

Hello,
On Edge Dev 90.0.796.0 (Windows 10 21H1),
I have the same problem with the favorites bar and middle clicking on a favorite in the drop-down menu. If I want to open many favorites, I need to close the drop-down menu before to middle click another.
Also, Edge Dev crash when I try to play some videos on Facebook/Twitter. I'm forced to restart it and restore my previous session. It's tiring because I never know what video will provoke the crash, it's not all the video but some of them.
That it all.

currently the Windows Pin requirement is only for when trying to close the Kids mode, but the person can just press Window button on keyboard or Alt + Tab to switch to another app/browser.
would it be possible to completely lock down the PC and restrict the Kids window so the user won't be able to switch/open other apps? (without group policy and only Kids mode/family safety)
Yes, that would be great.
