@josh_bodner Great to see these improvements and hope to see them in stable release soon.
Many users have been looking for these features.

@Glowtape what version of the drivers do you have installed? And do you have any entries in edge://crashes that might give us any information? Most importantly, do you have any example videos that this consistently happens for, or is it just for all videos? And do you have any extensions installed that might be contributing to this?

@josh_bodner I've reported a bug regarding typing Unicode characters (like Chinese and Japanese) using Windows IME at the address bar since version 85 rolled out to Dev channel. Since version 85 typing Unicode in the address bar is no longer possible. Therefore it is not possible to do searching directly at the address bar, also it's not possible to go to Unicode based URLs (though they are rare). However seems this report and bug has been ignored as I didn't it in the known problem.... I've updated it to Version 85.0.564.8 (Official build) dev (64-bit) but the bug still here....
This buggy behavior didn't happen in version 84 or any previous version of Edge (Old Edge or Chromium Edge)... Can you fix it before rolling out to beta? Thanks

@sscywong @josh_bodner Can second this as shown in the screenshots. But this seem like on and off thing, sometime it happened sometime it didn't as shown in the screenshots.

SolutionToday's small update should provide a fix for the issue where some icons are too big. Additionally, we improved the relevance of Family Safety reporting data, and we fixed an issue where certain management policies like HomepageLocation or NewTabPageLocation stopped working and returned a message that they were blocked.

@josh_bodner Do you plan to allow multiple picture-in-picture windows?

@josh_bodner The new "Picture dictionary" feature is fun to use when available !
I definitely miss the "simple" dictionary from Edge though. I can work around by using a bing sidebar search on the word I want, then adding "meaning" to the word query in the sidebar search. But this is less than ideal and it's one of the reasons I still do my reading on legacy Edge : One click on a word and the definition is there !
I know I can translate the entire page, but it does not improve my English as much as looking for definitions does, since I can't see what was translated into what.
Does the team have any plans for that classic dictionary yet, to go along with the picture dictionary :) ?

Any plans to improve web page rendering without needing to use an extension like "font rendering enhancer"? This has been discussed for months in another discussion with fawkes (one of your developers)...
Firefox has darker, sharper fonts and photos look a bit richer also and doesn't need any extension... the Google developers have apparently no interest in taking care of this...we were hoping the MS Edge/Chrome developers would....We have been waiting many months....will this be done? and if so, when might we expect to see a change? (we would also appreciate it if you'd let us know here)...

Since version 85 typing Unicode in the address bar is no longer possible.
@sscywong I'll make sure it hasn't gotten lost in our feedback system and our engineers are aware!

@AmineI good question! It's on our backlog since it was something we had in Edge Classic, but we don't appear to have a timeline for when to expect it yet.

@craig10x our work on font rendering is a longer-term project since it's something that touches a lot more of the internal guts of the browser than a lot of our UI work. We definitely intend to keep working on it though since there's a noticeable difference between new Edge and Edge Legacy.

Regarding the picture dictionary feature in Immersive Reader:-
I don't think its that much helpful and of any productive use. Its definitely a ''COOL'' feature to say. But I think it would be more helpful if :-
1. We can get definitions of the words we select much like Google dictionary in the web does. Nobody is going to hover the cursor to "mountain" and see a picture of it :face_with_tears_of_joy:. It cannot be called productive.
eg......
OR look at Wikipedia page its also there....
2. Select some currency value and right click menu gives an option to convert it on the fly.
3. Selecting a time and it can be converted to the time in different time zone.
4. These are the most common ones but there can be many more..........
These features can be really helpful as the user will no longer have to open a new tab for this.

Here is where you can get information about IE Mode. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-mode
You can right-click the collections icon to hide it. There may be a management policy where you can turn it off. I'm not sure.

@Limyx826 our engineers were able to reproduce this themselves, so they're working on a fix. Thanks for the detailed pictures that helped us figure out the steps!
