Clicakable links not working on easybib.com

Copper Contributor

Hi,

Am using Version 76.0.172.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit) of Edge for Chromium. Clickable links on not working on one site even though they work fine in Chrome. I've made two videos, the first one as it happens on Edge, and the 2nd on Chrome. Any reason why this is happening?

Thanks for the detailed info! Can you contact Microsoft Edge Insiders support and open an issue? This one is going to take a bit of time to go through properly.

This is a good find and I'd like to get in our support channel for quicker action and investigation.

Thanks,

Darren

Thanks for the response... Done as suggested. This has not happened on any other site so far

Thanks, I saw the case come through. One of our agents will be in touch soon via the ticket submitted as we verify the behavior.

Thanks,

Darren

@DarrenMH Yes, Eddie had responded. In the meantime, I checked on my laptop running the same configuration, and to my surprise, the links were working there. I then did a bit of fiddling around on the desktop and it turns out that the links don't work (and the ads disappear) when the zoom is set at 110%(default on my desktop). The links become active when the  zoom is set higher at 125% and 150%. The anomaly, ie. inactive links and disappearing ads manifests itself only when zoom is set at 110%.

Hope the video below makes it clear...

Btw, I just checked and the same behaviour happens in the Chrome browser as well so it might not be a browser issue at all:-|

Thanks for the details@Cherisam!

Great you were able to help isolate down and also provide Chrome behavior, very helpful! I'll sync with Eddie and we'll get a bug filed on this, as you mentioned, could be with Chromium. We'll let Engineering sort that out. They also have input in to Chromium fixes.

Thanks again for the videos, testing and details, makes things much easier on this side. Have a great rest of the week and thanks for helping us build a better Microsoft Edge.
