The web contents hmm? so not the browser theme
This flag also forces dark mode even when light theme is enabled.
(flag enabled + light mode enabled in settings)

Yes.  It is working the web pages not, the browser.  It doesn't need to be defeated for Light because, if using Light the flag would not be used in the 1st place.

you didn't get the point.... try this:-
enable light mode + dark mode flag disabled : Everything light ==> Good
Enable dark mode + dark flag enabled : Everything Dark ==> Good
Now enable light mode : browser is light & webpages are dark ==> Bad

Now, I know you can disable dark flag when using light mode, But don't you think logically flag should be working only in the dark mode, and not in the light mode, because why would anyone use light mode + dark flag. And it's a big hassel to enable dark , enable dark mode and also enable dark flag, but if you want light , you have to enable light as well as disable dark flag which should be off by itself or not working in light mode.

Actually, I did grasp your point, completely. Maybe, it will be different when it doesn't involve an experimental flag.

Enabling Light OR Dark in either the OS, Edge HTML or Edge C are all easy & equally so.

And whether some sort of auto-function or not, the point was, one would, likely, not have both within one browser window.

the flag has its effects even when Edge's theme is set to light.
