BUG: Tab search gone from dev and canary channels

Hi,

 

I've been using the tab search functionality in edge canary for a while. I enabled it with the --enable-features=msTabSearch,Win10TabSearchCaptionButton switch. 

 

Yesterday all of a sudden it was gone. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to work. I added the switch to the dev channel install of edge and it was working fine there. Now after a few hours it's gone from the dev channel as well and working only in edge stable. I don't understand what's going on but makes me want to switch to another browser. 

 

Does anyone have idea input on what might be happening?


EDIT: it seems that the "bug" happens only when you set the browser as default for HTTP/HTTPS protocols in Windows 11.

I advise you to open the Microsoft Edge and click on the feedback option and report this issue.
