Updating AD Connect User UPN

Hi

 

We have a Office365 environment connect to a local Active Directory using AD Connect.

 

We are want to change our logon/email address so that it is goes from mydomain.co.uk to mydomain.COM

 

Our users have obviously all currently login to there Windows10 laptops using username@mydomain.co.uk so when we update the UPN on there local AD it will change to username@mydomain.COM.

 

The question I have is when they logon to there laptops using the new username@mydomain.COM UPN will it created a new profile on there desktop and therefore need there Outlook / Skype etc... resetting up?

 

Anyone know?
