Q: What about timestamps and Office 2007 with Vista: does it also have a problem with historical data? (I know it's true for XP), for example, sent datetime of MSG?
A: With Vista we introduced a new set of registry keys called Dynamic DST keys.  These keys are there for historical data handling issues.  These new keys are part of the packaged OS DST updates.  Once you install them your OS will then be capable of providing historical DST info to any application that requests it.  There are very few apps that can take advantage of these new keys right now, Outlook 2007 is one and our rebasing tool is another.  In our previous Operating Systems, once you changed the DST TZ info there was no way for apps to get the historical DST info.
