Q: Please clarify: What is the difference between msextmz and msextmzcfg.
A: For more information see KB 930879 , “How to address daylight saving time by using the Exchange Calendar Update Tool”, which has a full description of both utilities and how they work.

-          msextmz is basically a wrapper for the tzmove.exe utility.  This utility will extract time zone information from mailboxes and (if instructed to) update calendar items within the mailboxes for the affected period.

-          msextmzcfg is used to create files for use with mseztmz.exe.  It does not update calendar items on its own.
