Q: I know the suggested method to prepare for DST on Windows NT 4.0 systems is to upgrade to a newer OS. Assuming our engineers will not do this what else can be done? Is there a manual update documented anywhere?
A: To manually update an unsupported OS you can use tzedit.exe or timezone.exe. KB914387 has more information about these platforms ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914387 ). There is also a vbscript that can be used – see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221542/ or http://support.microsoft.com/?id=317211 .
