Q: We have exchange 5.5 on 2000 and user are running outlook 2003 with XP system. Can i just change time manually on 2000 exchange sever and install KB931836 patch on client and ask them to run outlook tool for updating their calendar. That all I have to do?
A: You can use the manual steps in KB914387 to update the Windows 2000 server and install the DST hotfix in KB931836 on the client’s workstations.  Exchange Server 5.5 is no longer a supported product, as described at http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=1776 .  Microsoft’s Lifecycle policy can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-us&x=8&y=6 .  If you are a Premier Customer you can contact your Technical Account Manager to discuss the Lifecycle Policy.for it.
