This just came across my inbox and I thought I would share it with you, I thought that this would be very exciting.
It was announced at Ignite (See Session here ) how we are improving and simplifying sharing from OneDrive using Office Clients and OneDrive in a more intuitive manner then it is currently. Even better it has improved External sharing with simplified choices as well as verification that links are being opened by the correct person, then reverified when it is opened again.
As well new management controls have been created so that you can customize all these great sharing abilities.
For more information see this blog or the Ignite session
If you want to you can look in the O365 Roadmap for the following feature to follow:
Simplified External sharing (no MSA)
Users will be able to share externally in a secure simple way without the need of creating a MSA. Users will be allowed to create a one time use passcode to grant external users access to the content.
Feature ID: 23751
I can tell you that the following feature set is being deployed to First Release Customers right now and if everything goes well it will then be deployed to commercial tenants.
