Features added and then removed?

Iron Contributor

About two weeks ago I noticed that the file upload (paperclip icon) was available in Copilot for Web along with GPT-4 Turbo functionality for all conversation styles. Now, however, the file upload button is missing and the Turbo option is only available for Creative. I was so excited for these features to be added and my experience improved so much by using them. It even had code analyzer functionality which worked great! I'm so sad that the features have been rolled back and am wondering if there's anyone out there with an idea of when they'll be coming back to Enterprise customers...

Hi @agreca -
Thank you for your inquiry! The file upload feature is currently released to a limited set of users in a test flight, though we expect to release it more widely soon. We appreciate your feedback regarding the Microsoft Copilot features.
Thanks for the response! Is there a reason why I would have been part of the test flight and then removed? This has happened quite a few times to me in the past but I'm always on the same computer, browser, account and internet connection.

Hi @agreca - Thanks for your question. The behavior you are noting with the file upload feature availability is due to the ongoing testing. During the test flight process adjustments are being made and test groups may be reset. Hope that helps!

@PattiCofano, I did think of one additional question with regard to feature testing and release for Copilot. Is there a location I can go to confirm whether a feature is currently in test flight or if it's actually been released to all users? I really want to share the new features with my organization as they become available but it would be quite embarrassing to announce a feature that is only available in test flight.

Edit: I am aware of the Roadmap site for Copilot for M365 but I'm not aware of a similar location for Copilot for Web. Thank you.

@agreca I was wondering the same thing about a roadmap for features. We have invested in adoption training for all staff on this version "Copilot for Web (formerly BCE)". The 2 main pieces of feedback are around speed and being able to summarise documents you upload. It's mainly uploading PDFs, but some people have asked about being able to upload word documents too.
Hi @agreca - Thanks for your question. Copilot is constantly evolving to bring new capabilities to the AI-powered chat experience. As noted, we occasionally introduce new features to limited sets of users in test flights to ensure their optimal performance before we release them more widely. Some features may be in preview flights. You can reference the Features in Copilot page for updated information on features. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/copilot/features
Hey @PattiCofano. The conversation styles are also gone. Is that also part of the testing or have they been out behind the pay wall?
Hi @TjBrownson - Thank you for your inquiry! The conversation style toggle is available on all entry points for Copilot with commercial data protection now (web tab). Can you please let us know if you are not seeing that? Note that if you are using Copilot for M365 (work tab), conversation styles do not exist.

@PattiCofano The Conversation Styles option has also disappeared for us. We're on E5 licence using M365 and are accessing Bing Copilot. My training resources refers to the Conversation Styles, but they are no longer showing.
