The FAQ for BCE states the following:
"Are there advertisements in Bing Chat Enterprise?
Yes, just like Bing Chat, Bing Chat Enterprise does include ads among the linked citations in chat answers. Unlike Bing Chat, the ads shown in Bing Chat Enterprise are based on queries that are deidentified. Ads aren't targeted based on user workplace identity or chat history."
Is anyone able to elaborate on the deidentification process and the data provided to advertisers? If there is no access to chat history then does the advertiser have access to most of what is in the current query / current response albeit deidentified (name, address, mobile number removed)?
Currently the information available is a bit vague, and it's a detail that could be the difference between a company embracing the technology or rejecting it. For example if you asked BCE to "Review this patent application..." and there was no personally identifiable information in the current query/response, would the advertisers gain access to this information?
