I have a Configuration Manager site that is on update version 2010.  We are planning to build a new site with new SQL server with current branch version 2107.  Can I use site migration to move objects and clients to the new site?

yes you can do that, but it would be far easier to just upgrade you site to 2107.,
Thanks Garth, We want to move our site to new hardware, new OS and a new better SQL server. Currently our site is quite small with a flat hierarchy so there is not much we need to migrate.
IMO that is a lot of work and you will need to update the source location for everything too., I would suggest doing a back up an restore than a migrate.
