SCCM recover site & content library

Hi, I was wondering if when we recover a primary site (in a hierarchy) without a DB backup (so sync from CAS) is it supported/recommended that we copy/transfer the content library folder from the old server and/or backup that we have onto the new recovered server?

It would certainly decrease the full time to recovery of that primary site. I don't think there's any real recommendation though.
