Please reference the How to YamJam! post.

My Event URL is a free, third-party resource created by Avi Sujeeth (Microsoft) as an alternate to posting just the .ics file when announcing your YamJam.

I run YamJams on my External Network more than my Home Network, so I can't assume that everyone will be using Outlook. For our first Jam, I used just an .ics file because you can make that work with Google Calendar too, but some people had trouble with it.

My Event URL popped up before our second YamJam, so I used it--and heard of no issues at all!

You set up a single invite, then when the user clicks on the link, they can choose which calendar to add it to. You can also get back in to your invite and edit instead of starting over.

I plan to use this tool again when we have our next Jam. I'm all for not-worrying about something in the midst of all the things to keep track of.
