We have been encouraging the utility of topics as a way to organize informaiton, and to share specific collections of information. Now, we would like to see if topics could do a bit more for us.
I know that if we have a group called Forms, we could upload several forms to that file library, and attach topics such as:
I know that I can search on any topic, but I would love a way to provide a list of files that have #MembershipForms and #2016Forms attached. I suppose I get just get more granular on the topics I use, but it would be even better to give a way for people to just search on two topicss (or more) at once.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I have seen people using topics in a more granular way. I haven't seen any way to address your point about search logic. Topics are generally underused in Yammer given their potential to help users and businesses to follow what is going on. It is great to see that your teams are making most advantage of them. I always worry that the lack of adoption of topics will see it drift further onto the 'features creating technical debt' list.
Mentioning @Lesley Crook in case she has some great ideas on finding specific information by intersection of topics. Lesley's WOLAN approach is centred on using topics in a sophisticated way.

Thank you, Simon. I agree, I think topics are great, and I think they can become even greater. Would love to hear other ideas about how we can make best use of them.

I refer to tagging in the enterprise as "business intelligent tagging"...
Use open (public) strategic Yammer groups to encourage employee engagement and collaboration and advocacy. Use business intelligent #hashtags to nurture easy filtering and following of strategic and tacit knowledge that demonstrate business value in #performance #product #improvement #customer #measurement #agility …
Align your ESN conversations to your company cultural behaviours and values, pre-determined usually by HR for 360-degree performance reviews. You might use business intelligent tags to nurture filtering, following and proof of cultural, strategic, tactical, tacit knowledge in #innovation #breakingboundaries #training #accountability #fundraising #diversity …
Don’t think of Yammer as a standalone entity instead embed ESN in processes, systems, tasks. Nurture staff to use the ESN app for anytime, anywhere, any place, flexible, speedy, trusted, authentic, better ways of working for #onboarding #R&R #ERP #Helpdesk #News #FM …
How would you find anything on Twitter without hashtags? Nurture tagging on your ESN to filter and capture great conversations and knowledge sharing, supporting strategic goals and the right behaviours and values.
And there are some networks that force you to select a “business” tag before your post. I think thats a really good idea. However wonder if they also have #cats #awaydayfun #lunchmenu #nicesunset !!
My hashtag shape model covers this.

Yammer search is weak in this aspect. What you want to be able to do is Topic ID=123456 OR Topic ID=456789 . But seemingly it does not like result joins.
